CDO FINDS AND GUIDES ON EDUCATION

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

I come from Butuan City. I was born and raised there and I earned my elementary and secondary education from schools in the locality. When high school time was about to finish, I and my classmates had numerous chances to choose which college institution to go to. There were college offerings from as far as Manila and the Luzon area, as well as those from nearby cities like Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Iligan.

Each of us longed to be enrolled from any of those cities, not because we did not believe in the credibility and growth that the Butuan colleges had to offer. It is because we thought of going beyond our comfort zones to test our patience, to see how far we could reach as competitive individuals, and to gather as much as knowledge gain as possible.

Personally, I had no doubts with my choice. Cagayan de Oro always had the first place in my heart; it had that inviting presence that I could not say no to. It’s known to have an efficient educational system. Moreover, the city has a variety of colleges and universities to choose from which I have listed below:

There may be graduating high school students out there who are on their way to decide and probably pressure their parents to send them to colleges outside their hometowns. Some might be considering or are still on their way to making a 100% decision in choosing Cagayan de Oro.
Here are helpful facts that may help you decide better, why choose CDO in pursuit for quality education.

"The three (3) universities and one of its colleges of CDO were selected by the CHED as Centers for Development and Excellence --- XAVIER UNIVERSITY (Engineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Business Education and Socio-Anthropology), LICEO DE CAGAYAN UNIVERSITY (Nursing), CAPITOL UNIVERSITY (Computer Education) and MINDANAO UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (Mathematics)."

"To keep up with technological Advancement in Information Technology, the country’s leading ICT Schools are also in the area namely: STI, AMA College and Informatics."

I hope that my lists, as well as the above facts assist you further in your decisions. Be assured in the confidence that Cagayan de Oro schools help bring success to your college education.
