Cagayan
de Oro City is equipped with medical advances and the latest in technological facilities.
It has row of accessible and competitive amenities found in its city hospitals
and medical centers.
CDO
has 23 hospitals, 11 of which are government-run and 12 are privately-owned.
The number of beds is greater than the national standard which implies that
tertiary health care facilities are sufficient to the population and can still extend
services to the municipalities in proximity.
In
addition to the hospitals, there are 302 Barangay Health Centers that provide
minor health services. For specialized health care, there are 18 family
planning clinics and 44 medical or dental clinics. Medical manpower appears to
be more than adequate in number.
Most
private hospitals and the Northern Mindanao Medical Center are already equipped
with the latest medical equipment like the CT-SCAN, Dialysis Machine, MRI,
Nuclear Scan and Ultrasound. This only means that the city can very well provide
adequate and immediate relief in cases emergencies and complicated medical
cases.
The
hospitals are manned by a number of specialists in the various fields of
medicine like Neurosurgery, Oncology, Nephrology, and Endocrinology among
others. Specialized private clinics for dental, therapeutic, optical and
diagnostic services provide additional medical support.
Here
is the list of the above-mentioned, so you’d know where to go for your medical,
